Archery Conference Championships

3/9/19 – LMP proudly hosted the Archery Conference Championships Saturday, where JH took 3rd place team finish, and Varsity took 4th place team finish. Congrats to EmmaClaire Wood in her bronze medal Olympic round, Nick Fiorentino in his silver medal Olympic round, and Edmonds/Malloy/Delos Santos’ bronze medal triples round.


3/9/19 – V Baseball recovered from Monday night’s loss with a big 2-1 win at Orangewood on Wednesday. Carter Symmonds pitched a complete game 7 ip, 5 K’s, 0 ERs. Logan McClure 2B, 1 RBI. Quentin Graves 2-3. To top off last week, they also beat Lake Highland 3-2 at home. #goGriffins

Lady Lax off to a Strong Start

3/4/19 – After their first full week, Lacrosse is off to a strong start this season, learning from a few losses, but also ringing in some big wins over Orangewood and Lake Minneola!

W – Lake Minneola 23-13 (Rory Whitfield 5 goals, 5 asst, Kate Dawson 6 goals 3 asst, Tristany Tesoriero 5 goals 1 asst).
L – East Ridge 5-17 (Kate Dawson 3 goals, Rory Whitfield 2 goals)
W – Orangewood 22-11 (Kate Dawson 8 goals 3 asst, Emily Rood 3 goals 2 asst)

Mark your calendars – Lady Lax will honor Nina Karlinsky Monday March 11th at 5:30 before their game!

District Championship Friday Night!

2/13/19 – In a big win over St. Francis Catholic last night, Varsity will advance to the 3A District 2 Championship! Hosted at Warner Christian on Friday night, they will face #1 seed Christ Church Academy. A District win Friday night would bring the Regional Tournament home to LMP – come out and support our Griffins!


1/22/19 – The Inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur has announced the first 66 players who have accepted invitations into the 72-player field for the April 3-6 event. LMP alum Sierra Brooks will compete among the top 50 women’s amateurs in the world this April, and shared her excitement in a recent Golf Channel interview. Fred Ridley, chairman of Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament, commented that, “Receiving an invitation to the Augusta National Women’s Amateur is representative of a remarkable amateur career, and so much more. We share in the excitement of the players, not only for what will unfold in April, but also for what their involvement will mean to increasing interest in the women’s game.” (Full article Initial Field Listed – Golf Channel here)

The first 36 holes of the 54-hole Augusta National Women’s Amateur will be played at Champions Retreat Golf Club with the top 30 and ties making the cut and competing at Augusta National Golf Club on April 6. Players who qualify for the final round will play in a practice round at Augusta National on April 5. NBC will broadcast the final round from noon-3 p.m. ET with Golf Channel providing highlights, live reports and news coverage during the event.
