Sierra Brooks Part of Historic Augusta National Women's Tournament
4/8/19 – In a milestone event this past weekend, Sierra Brooks finished 10th among some of the world’s best amateur women golfers at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur Tournament . The Lake Mary native and LMP alum made history not only in her personal achievements this weekend, but also in helping pave the way for women in golf. As a standout at the University of Florida, Sierra Brooks had already made history in becoming the first women’s player to win two tournaments in her first three starts as a Gator. An All-SEC second-team honoree as a sophomore, the Lake Mary, Fla. native advanced to the third round of match play in last summer’s U.S. Women’s Amateur and finished runner-up at the 2015 U.S. Women’s Amateur.
